Woven by Lochcarron of Scotland at their mill in Selkirk, using 100% pure Scottish wool, these lengths of Maclean tartan fabric are available in 2 different weights; Strome and Braeriach.
Quoting Lochcarron, the 16oz Strome cloth is “the heaviest available in our range.” It is “firm and durable” and is the” tartan of choice for many kiltmakers worldwide”, creating a kilt with “excellent swing”.
The Braeriach 13oz medium weight fabric is ideal for a lighter weight kilt or traditional trews, perfect for those of you living in warmer climates.
