GROUPS WELCOME
We welcome all bus groups to our Castle but we recommend you pre-book your visit so that we can fully accommodate you. Specific arrangements can be made for travel operators. For example, a voucher system can be organised to ensure swift entry to the Castle and ease of payment for large groups. Please contact us via our contact form below.
We look forward to welcoming you to Duart Castle, which is a 4-star visitor attraction, to our Tearoom which has a TripAdvisor Highly Commended Award, and to our Gift Shop which is known for the excellent quality of its range of Scottish made products, including Maclean tartan items, gifts, clothing and knitwear.
PARKING AND FACILITES
We have a large parking area right next to the Castle, perfect for coaches, minibuses and tour buses of all sizes. We offer free of charge parking to all.
OPENING HOURS 2026

In 2026 the Castle, Tearoom and Giftshop will be open from April 1st until October 18th. See detailed opening times below:
APRIL
From April 1st to April 30th we will be open 7 days a week from 10.30am to 4pm
MAY TO SEPTEMBER
From 1st May to 30th September we will be open 7 days a week from 10.30am to 5pm
OCTOBER
From 1st – 18th October we will be open 7 days a week from 10.30am to 4pm.
If you are on Mull outwith these opening hours you can still access the grounds to view the exterior of the Castle and enjoy the magnificent sea views. We have a donation box available beside our carpark and any donation will go towards maintaining the site for visitors.

THE TEAROOM
We have a large, welcoming tearoom. We pride ourselves on serving locally sourced Isle of Mull produce wherever possible. We aim to tell the story of our island and its history through our menu.
Soup, home baking (scones, cakes and other sweet treats), coffee and tea are available all day. Our lunch menu is available from 12pm to 2.30pm and has a wide selection to choose from. As a licensed premises we also stock a selection of beers and ciders.
