Why not join our guided tour of the grounds and discover:
The Castle as a fortress and its strategic military position controlling the sea and land around Mull.
- Its occupants through the ages, from the ancient Clan Chiefs to garrisoned soldiers with their own graveyard and the restoration in the 20th Century, making Duart into a family home.
- Find hidden treasures like the mysterious ‘Green Man’, ‘Sir Fitzroy’s Spring’ and a secret carving high up on the castle wall.
- Hear the story of the wrecks of the Cromwellian invasion fleet and see where the wreck of The Swan was discovered.
Each tour lasts at least 1 hour and starts from the Castle ticket hut. Mondays only – beginning at 11:30am prompt.
Maximum of 12 people per tour, so don’t miss this opportunity.
