We are delighted to welcome back the very entertaining Mull and Iona Pipe band, accompanied by the extremely talented local Highland Dancers.
Mull and Iona pipe band was formed in 1982, under the leadership of Pipe Major Norman MacCallum and Drum Sergeant Robert Black. Robert (or Bertie, as he was known) was a former president of the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association which organises every pipe band contest in the UK and sets the rules. Our current Pipe Major (Neil MacCallum) and Pipe Sergeant (Calum MacDougall) were part of the original band as fresh-faced youngsters.
Mull and Iona are a community band, which prides itself in teaching and encouraging youngsters in piping and drumming and in providing a pipe band for public events.
Our performances are usually one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Come and join us for some amazing Scottish music and dancing!
